A Sorrowful Father's Day in Southern and Eastern Taiwan

The Typhoon Morakot will become the most unforgetable name for most of the Taiwanese, as it caused a radical and tremendous disaster during the landfall period between Aug. 8, 2009 to Aug. 9, 2009. The rainfall breaks the record in Taiwan, and hurts our beloved place during the most sorrowful Pa-Pa's Day we have ever experenced. God bless Taiwan!

In my memory, my grandparents told me that 50 years ago, there was a similar catastrophe, called 8-7 floods, which attacked the middle Taiwan wildly and violently just like Morakot. My eldest uncle was one of the casualties in the flood. Therefore, we really don't want to see this happens again. However, even though there are so many people still suffering from the inconvenient and dangerous situations in Southern and Eastern Taiwan, our government unilaterally refuse to accept the warm-hearted assistance from friendly countries. We don't know why the president decided to do so, but if you could help us broadcast the diaster information to the world, all the Taiwaness will deeply appreciate your kindness. Thank you so much. God bless Taiwan!
